Job Summary

  • A Sales Executive is responsible for identifying and developing sales opportunities, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, and achieving sales targets for a company’s products or services. This role involves actively prospecting, presenting products or services to potential clients, and closing deals to contribute to the organization’s revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
Prospecting and Lead Generation:

  • Identify and target potential customers through research, cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of sales leads and opportunities.

Sales Presentation and Communication:

  • Present the company’s products or services to potential customers, highlighting their features, benefits, and value propositions.
  • Address customer inquiries, objections, and concerns effectively.
  • Create and deliver compelling sales pitches and presentations.

Relationship Building:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers.
  • Understand customer needs and preferences and tailor sales strategies to meet those needs.

Sales Negotiation:

  • Negotiate terms and conditions with customers to close sales deals.
  • Resolve pricing and contract-related issues while ensuring the best outcome for both the customer and the company.

Sales Targets and Goals:

  • Set and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and goals.
  • Track and report progress and results regularly to sales management.

Sales Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies, including identifying market trends and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and management to refine sales tactics and approaches.

Product and Market Knowledge:

  • Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and industry trends.
  • Understand competitors’ offerings and market positioning.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate and organized sales records, customer information, and sales reports.
  • Prepare and submit sales contracts and other necessary documentation.

Customer Service:

  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process and after-sales support.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and handle any post-sale issues.


  • Continuously enhance sales skills and product knowledge through training and self-study.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (optional, but often preferred).
  • 1 – 3 years of work experience.
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the same industry or a related field.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in using sales tools and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
  • Adaptability and the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of the company’s products or services and the industry it operates in.
  • A professional and positive attitude, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Willingness to travel as needed and a valid driver’s license (if required for the role).
  • A Sales Executive plays a critical role in driving revenue and business growth.


  • Success in this role requires a combination of strong sales skills, market knowledge, and the ability to build and maintain meaningful customer relationships.

N50,000 – N100,000 monthly.
